My Next Goals

WALT: Set Smart Goals

S.M.A.R.T. means SpecificMeasurableAttainableRealistic and Time-sensitive.
Specific: Don’t be vague. What exactly do you want?
Measurable: Quantify your goal. How will you know if you’ve achieved it or not?
Attainable: Be honest with yourself about what you can reasonably accomplish at this point in your life, taking into consideration your current responsibilities.
Realistic: It’s got to be doable, real and practical.
Time: Associate a time frame with each goal. When should you complete the goal?

My reading goal is to... identify an author's point of view when I am reading arcross longer, more complex texts.
The reason I have decided to focus on this goal is because... it was in my report.
I will accomplish my goal by... knowing and understanding what identity an authors point of means with the help from my reading teacher.

My writing goal is to... use a wide variety of descriptive words to help convey my ideas and experiences.
The reason I have decided to focus on this goal is because... it was in my report.
I will accomplish my goal by... my mum and dad supporting me at home and encouraging me to write and self edit stories about a range of different topics.

My maths goal is to... choose an appropriate strategy when solving a problem.
The reason I have decided to focus on this goal is because... it was in my report.
I will accomplish my goal by... choosing appropriate strategys to work on in the school holidays with my big sister.

My personal goal is to... reflect on my own learning
The reason I have decided to focus on this goal is because... it was in my key competencies.
I will accomplish my goal by... reflecting on my learning that I haven't reflected on.
