Swimming Sports Goals 2015

Description:

 For a couple of weeks we have been doing some swimming for our swimming sports. We practiced freestyle backstroke and we will be practicing breaststroke.

Big Idea:

 My swimming sports goal is to try beat last years score in breaststroke. I can do this by practicing a lot harder.

My swimming goal's in our school pool is to not wiggle my bottom. I can do this by kicking from my knees not my waist.

My next goal is to take three or five strokes then a breath. I can do this by counting in my head.

Evaluation: I think that when I did breaststroke I did very well. I know I did well because I was in front of everyone.

When I watched myself I thought that I almost completed my goal because I saw myself wiggle my bottom.

When I practiced my strokes and breath I kept on breathing on the same side. But I have completed my goal. I know this because I watched myself breath on both sides.

I'm stuck

Description:

All of poutama was watching a video about to people stuck on a escalator. They were screaming for help but no one came. They just stood there. We had to make a video like this one. My group were doing one being stuck in a tree.

Big Idea:

Criteria: (Content)

1. Video - 30 seconds long, time is limited.
2. Scenario - Show someone being stuck and not using the ability to act.
3. Clear Message - Short sharp clip. Can the watcher get the point of your video?
4. Unique - Coming up with something funny that gets a laugh from others.
5. Time Passing - Do you need to show time passing in your clip to emphasise your message.

Criteria: (Movie)

1. Light - Make sure the sun isn’t creating a hard to see clip.
2. Voice Volume - Needs to be louder than other background volume eg Noise, Kids.
3. Frame - What’s in the frame to make your message obvious.
4. Steady Hands - Make sure the camera is still.
5. Individual Clips - Don’t do one continuous shot of 30 seconds. Make a range of short clips and join together.

I think it was cool how you had Hannah and Abby stuck in the tree together. Maybe next time you could split the video into individual clips. Ana

The Test

Description: 

In poutama the teachers and students wanted to find out what goal we would be in. We simply got a test for math. We have ten minutes to finish the test. Try get more questions done over forty. Then once we've done the test I want you to double your score up. If you pass eighty that means

 you'll be moving on to stage. These test were knowledge test- we need to know these thing within 3 seconds.

Big Idea:

 My goal is we are learning to write  numbers in Oder to 1000, including fractions. I can achieve this goal by practicing every day until I can get the answer quickly. I will try achieve it by the end of the month. I will know I'm successful when I can order numbers quickly.

My Childhood Memories

Purpose: To share memories about my childhood.

Description: We looked at a story about someones memories from there piece of writing. We started to write in our draft book. We wrote a story using a format starting with "Remember... to explain memories from our childhood. Here is m,y story.

Remember the time when brooke pushed me off the top of the slide and I feel on my tummy?

Remember me jumping up and down while the breeze went through my hair then my fall came from no where. And I broke my arm? What some falls i did there. That was my first broken arm.

13 Story Treehouse, Minecraft

13 Storey Treehouse Minecraft

Description: What are we doing? We are making a 13 story treehouse on minecraft.

Why are we doing it? We are doing this because Troy got an idea from another school, and sense we finished reading the 13 story treehouse, Troy said we can make it on minecraft.

How are we doing it? How we are doing this is getting into a group of five or four.

 Who is in my group? The people helping me for my group is Calais, Grace -C, Rileigh-Kaye and Charlotte.

 What is your group building? My group is building a see-through swimming pool, bowling alley and Terry's room.

Where do we do it? We do it in the teacher's office.

How often do we do it? We often do it one day a week for 40 minutes.

Positive: (What are the good things about doing this?) The good thing about doing this is that you have a group to help the kids what to do and how to do it.

Minus: (What are the tricky or not so good things about doing this?) The not so good thing about doing this is that someone, that is not in the group comes on and does something that's not part of our learning.

Interesting: (What is something that you find interesting about this Eg: Not good or bad) What I find interesting is that so of the new kids in minecraft like me is learning really fast.

Pangram Writing

In writing  we have been doing Pangrams. A Pangram is a sentence  that has all the words in the alphabet. Me and Milania made one up but if is really long. We had 90 words.
