In class we have been putting photos of ourselves on the wall to see where we're at for our learning. There is Self Managing, Self Directed and Self Agentic learner.
I think I am a Self Managing learner because I haven't nailed all of the goals on the Self Managing wall.
The goal that I am currently working on is setting smart goals for myself.
The things I need to do to achieve this goal are to set goals for myself in my learning so I can move on to the other goals I need to work on.
This week for our reading task we had to write some questions for our learning partner to answer. The questions had to be about the book we are reading. I am reading Troublesome Jones so I have to write questions about what I have read so far.

For reading this term we got to chose three books we wanted to read. The reason we have chosen three books is because then Elly, Rebecca and Troy would chose one of the books out of the three we had chosen. My three choices were Troublesome Jones, Date of Origin and Inside The Game. The book I am reading is Troublesome Jones.
1. Title - "Troublesome Jones" sounds like a very mischief title. I think jones is a boy. I don't know what the boy is like in this story, but I'll have to find out what he is like when I read the book. Why is the story called "Troublesome Jones.
Cover Deisen - I think the illustrations look like someone's up to misheif. I wonder why theres a truck and a bike on the cover. Could they be used for something bad. There might be a truck on the cover because his dad drove away in it.
Predictions- I think this story is about a boy who gets up to misheif and is a troubled boy. Maybe he has no siblings. And he is lonely with no friends.
For my passion project I was doing cure kids. But then I changed my mind and thought there isn't that much for me to do. So since I was doing SPCA cupcake day I deiced to do SPCA cupcake day with the other girls. We baked cupcakes and decorated some cupcakes during class and lunch.

I did this project with Milania, Devin, Abby, Amy, Olivia B, Olivia F and Emma. WALT use the PASSION inquiry process to investigate my passion independently/in small groups MY PASSION PROJECT INQUIRY IS… SPCA cupcake day Big Idea: For my passion project I was helping raise money for the SPCA. I did it last year and we got around about $400. But this year we raised $840.
Evaluation: I think that my group did a wonderful raising money for the SPCA. I wasn't there to help on the day. I think that they could have spreader out the tables as they told me.Feedback/Feedforward: Cupcake day was a great idea and a big hit with the kids. I loved the day and the cupcakes were delicious. On 31 of July the Kapahaka kids went to the regent. We went to the regent to perform, what we have been learning in Kapahaka for Pae Tamariki. The primary and intermediate schools were celebrating Pae Tamariki as well. Some of us were practicing new songs at lunch time, and we had practce in the weekends.

In Elly b's math group we have been learning a box method. We use the box method with multiplication and division problems we don't know the answer too.

At first when I heard Elly say 'we are going to use the box method' I had wondered what the box method was. When I learnt what the box method was I thought it would have been really hard. But when we practiced it a few more times knew how to use the box method.
Production is coming up at the end of this term. The schools theme is based on ora-life. In Poutama we will be Upcycling things to make our garment. Troy Kate and Rebecca are doing different things to do with life. Troy is doing elements, Rebecca is doing villains and heros and Kate is doing out of Africa. I am with Rebecca doing villains. I chose to do villains and heros with Rebecca because I found it very interesting to dress up in.

So far I have mad my mask and some weapons. I need to paint some more layers though. All I need to start on is my wings and then I'll be done. I aim to have my mask and Amy weapons done by next week. Next week I want to start on my wings.
1) The materials that I used to create my garment were: Black paper, plastic, plastic bags, hot glue and cardboard. 2) The most challenging thing about production for me was: Making my wings because I didn't know what I would use to make my wings.
3) One way I demonstrated a growth mindset during production was: Was when I said I can finish my garment in time for the production.
4) Something I am really proud of about production was: Getting my garment done because I had finished it the week before it was due done.
5) Our school vision is to create agency, creativity and excellence. I showed this by: Helping others with there garment because they might not have gotten done with any help.

I think that you have done a great job creating your garment. My favourite part of your costume is your wings they look stunning. If you have more time next time you could try and do another coat of paint on your mask To prevent it from chipping off! Well done! Bella.

I think I have done well with creating my garment because it is original. But I think I could have added more detail to my costume.
